Black Lives DO Matter

No one can dispute the slogan “Black Lives Matter.” It is becoming apparent, however, that not all black lives matter equally, at least in the eyes of today’s radical left insurgents, sycophantic media, and, with great irony, the group that calls itself “Black Lives Matter.” It would seem that the only lives that matter to them are those that are ended at the hands of the police. Amazingly ignored by these people are the nearly EIGHT THOUSAND black lives ended last year by homicides in which the POLICE PLAYED NO ROLE. And, the likelihood that this number will almost certainly INCREASE without effective policing is, apparently, lost on them.
As it turns out, the EIGHT THOUSAND black lives ended last year in homicide were, overwhelmingly, at the hands of young black men (88%). Most of these involved senseless gang, drug and crime related violence, but the saddest part of all of this is that it’s not only the criminals that are dying.
Just last week in New Haven, a 19 year old former high school basketball star, Kiana Brown, was killed by a bullet to her head WHILE SHE SLEPT IN HER BED AT HOME. The bullet, believed to be intended for someone outside her house, went through a wall striking her dead.
Although a commemoration ceremony was held and Kiana’s mother, Karen Brown, told a reporter from WTNH News that she wanted justice for her daughter, the incident sparked little interest from leftists and social justice warriors. Why is no one marching to demand “justice for Kiana?” Doesn’t HER life matter?
Also last week, in the hell on earth that the city of Chicago has become (on May 31 the city had EIGHTEEN murders IN A SINGLE TWENTY FOUR HOUR PERIOD) two CHILDREN were killed by gunfire. One was Lisa Nunez, a 10 year old who, like Kiana, was INSIDE HER OWN APARTMENT, when she was struck in the head by a stray bullet that went through a window, killing her. The second was a TODDLER by the name of Sincere Gaston who was shot dead by gunfire while he was being driven in a car by his mother, who was also wounded.
Why are there no “Justice for Sincere” protests? No “Justice For Lisa” protests?
The answer is not hard to see. Such “black on black” violence has no value to the leftist insurgents currently bent on bringing down our government. Focusing on the overwhelming number of black lives lost in “black on black” violence does not fit the leftist claims of “systemic racism” nor does it support their unthinkable agenda of dismantling America’s police force. And, the three victims mentioned above are not “flukes.” As noted by the Washington Post (NOT a conservative news source by any stretch of the imagination): “For every criminal killed in self defense, 34 innocent people die.” (source: washingtonpost.com, June 19, 2015) And, as alluded to above, in cases in which a homicide victim is black, the shooter is also black EIGHTY EIGHT PERCENT of the time. These startling facts get little if any attention because the goal of today’s leftist insurgents is NOT to save black lives; their goal is to attack America at its foundations – the rule of law. In the eyes of leftist insurgents, black lives such as Kiana, and Lisa and Sincere, innocent victims of gun violence, just aren’t very important. When will “Black Lives Matter” (and their sympathizers), truly realize that black lives DO matter. ALL of them.
