They Dare Not Call It Arson

Although it receives little to no coverage in the United States, there are many nonpartisan and responsible individuals in France that are skeptical of the Macron administration’s explanation of the devastating April 15 fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The explanation given by Macron’s administration, again and again, is that it was a “spark” from faulty wiring that set the Cathedral ablaze. For many, this explanation was immediately suspect because it was put forth without any reference to mass spectrometry analysis which could have detected accelerant residue. There are, in fact, several other reasons for skepticism.

Chief Architect Of Notre Dame Cathedral, Benjamin Mouton, says he is “baffled” by the cause of the Cathedral’s fire. He points out that 900 year old wood becomes extremely dense over all those hundreds of years and will NOT, he maintains, burn without an accelerant (i.e., arson). His “bafflement” is his polite way of saying that, in his opinion, the government narrative on this topic is bunk. And he is the RESIDENT architect of the Cathedral! His comments can be found at:

Then there are reports that one of the Cathedral stonemason approached the police with suspicions of arson and was ignored. His story can be found at:

And then there’s the mater of the two separate smoke/fire detector alarms, one at 6:20 PM and the other at 6:43 PM. It should be noted that the two detectors involved were WIDELY SEPARATED and, thus, would not have been activated by the same blaze. Although officials have blamed a “computer glitch” for this curious fact, the fire detection system was a state of the art Siemens fire detection apparatus, and it was installed in 2013. The claim that such a “glitch” would just happen to coincidentally occur at nearly the same time that a real fire occurred elsewhere in the building seems a little too contrived for me to swallow.

And then there’s the backdrop of numerous cases of vandalism, overwhelmingly Islamic, directed against Catholic Churches throughout France. Such vandalism, including arson, has been occurring of late at a rate of TWO OR THREE TIMES A WEEK!

And, less than one month before the Notre Dame fire, the Saint-Suplice Church, also in Paris, had a smaller fire that was PROVEN to be arson. It would seem that the opportunity to attack a major Catholic Church during Christian Holy Week, might, for jihadis, be impossible to resist.

All of these considerations, at this point, seem to me to be, at the very least, a “smoking gun.” Further findings and analysis would be needed, of course, before arson can be proven as a cause of the fire. But, the question is, will the “hyper liberal” Macron administration have the intestinal fortitude necessary to do a real investigation into the possibility of arson? Not likely, unfortunately. They dare not call it arson. Accusations, or even just discussions of jihadi violence against Christians is taboo throughout much of the “progressive” European Union. Mum’s the word. And so, the liberal “head in the sand” approach to civilizational jihad continues.

  1. As a devote Christian i find the whole ordeal deeply disturbing.Indeed old wood would not have burned that fast, which leads me to believe the last updaye was built with substandard wood. The Architect would be baffled to say the least,in a major payoff. I personally think from an electrians point of view, from many discussions with such.,that it was not the wiring but the welders working on the stained glass leaded windows, who inadvertatedly set the fire.,playing with fire.
Out of all the thoughs put forward jihad workers could be a direct threat.
Sadly it is the 100th year of the pact God made with the Devil. I have no doubt he is among us and we can not see him. Satan will be,defeated by God,as the floods, fire and famine is already visible.
The fact that all Christian priests have been killed, sacred artifact churches burned all over the world,Crosses taken down, children being taught the Quran in our schools attests to the facts.
    Time will tell.
Thank you again for a eloquent point of view.
    God Bless
