Masters Of Deceit?
One of the so-called “rising stars” of the Democrat Party is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (NY 14th District Democrat Congresswoman). This spirited young woman is a most curious combination of extreme political venom while looking, dressing and acting like a young and provocative ingenue. Most observers know, however, that she’s had a very poor relationship with truth.
Readers will recall that, on July 13, 2018, in an interview with PBS, she reported that “Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs!” Even the left leaning “fact check” blog could not keep themselves from rating this piece of AOC wisdom “PANTS ON FIRE!” She’s spewed forth so many lollapaloozas that space prohibits listing them all. I’ll throw one more in for good measure: on June 27, 2018 she told the journal “The Intercept” that “ICE (the bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is required to fill 34,000 beds with detainees every single night.”
But at a recent pro abortion rally in DC, her latest escapade takes the cake. During the demonstration, she and other “courageous” Democrats were arrested for blocking traffic. During the arrest, she acts as if she had been handcuffed.
Oh, the commitment to her cause she demonstrated! Oh, the courage she displayed! Oh, the brutality of the police! It almost brings a tear to your eye!…
HOWEVER, a moment later, when other demonstrators pumped their fists into the air… She just couldn’t resist! She pumped her fist too!
What happened to the handcuffs????…
There WEREN’T ANY! In her enthusiasm for solidarity with fellow social justice warriors, apparently, she FORGOT that she was supposed to be handcuffed. My, my, my….
And if you think that this on purpose flagrant deception is an anomaly, recall the picture of her bursting into tears at all the poor immigrant children in cages at the border:
Brings another tear to your eye doesn’t it. But some people wondered why the photograph didn’t include images of the imprisoned children. Turns out… there were NO CHILDREN! On the other side of the fence, ladies and gentlemen there was a ROAD.
Well, it is sometimes said that socialist/communists are “masters of deceit.” That may have been true in the past, but lately they don’t seem to be very good at it at all.
