Where Are The Protests?
POLICE OFFICER IN SQUAD CAR SHOOTS AND KILLS UNARMED WOMAN OUTSIDE CAR!
Such an event took place last week in Minneapolis, Minnesota, when Justine Damond, originally from Australia but living in the US for three years, reported a disturbance in her neighborhood. When the police cruiser arrived she approached the vehicle on the DRIVER’S SIDE UNARMED and in her PAJAMAS, at which point the policeman in the PASSENGER seat, Mohammed Noor, REACHED ACROSS HIS PARTNER and SHOT HER DEAD.
Under normal circumstances, with a story like that, the local police, local property owners and American society at large would brace for protests, demonstrations, rioting as well saturation coverage by a sympathetic media. But, strangely, there hasn’t BEEN any. It’s been quiet as a cemetary at midnight. No riots. No demonstrations. No protests. And, even more strange, although the media gave the story cursory coverage initially, we haven’t heard comment since! Not a “PEEP”! IMAGINE that! No uproar! No commotion! No outrage! After such an egregious occurrence, how in the world is all this calm and silence possible? Well, I have THEORY.
My THEORY is, that the LACK of uproar over this shooting might, just MIGHT, have SOMETHING to do with demographics. Could it be? Could it POSSIBLY be, that the reason there’s been no commotion in this case has something to do with the fact that the victim was WHITE. Possibly? And maybe, just MAYBE, could it also have something to do with the fact that the perpetrator was an IMMIGRANT! And, better yet, a SOMALI IMMIGRANT!! And, even better than that, a MUSLIM SOMALI IMMIGRANT!!! Somehow this trifecta seems to be conferring some type of immunity (temporarily it is hoped) on Mr. Noor, who seems to be making himself out to be some kind of victim! (He’s refused to cooperate with investigators, and, on the internet, had asked for PRIVACY!!!)
Well, WAKE UP EVERYONE! Immigrant or no. Somali or no. Muslim or no, this individual shot an unarmed woman in her pajamas, and shot her dead. With no warning given! And, he did so by reaching ACROSS his partner to do the shooting!!!! Where ARE the PROTESTS??!! WHY aren’t there protests??!!…Where are the demonstrations??!! Where is the condemnatory commentary??!! Where is the OUTRAGE??!! Apparently, NOWHERE TO BE FOUND!! Apparently, in modern America, WHITE LIVES JUST DON’T MATTER!!!
