We can all breathe a bit easier now. Ramadan ended this evening and the reward for martyrdom goes back down to its normal level of 72 virgins. During Ramadan the reward given to martyrs DOUBLES, providing the worthy martyr with ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FOUR nubile playmates. With the reduction in virgin numbers, we can hope the jihadist motivation will be reduced as well. And that’s a good thing, because this year’s holy month featured TWO HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN ATTACKS with 1089 killed. The “Ramadan effect” on terrorist activity is a contentious issue and estimates of the degree to which jihadist attacks increase during Ramadan varies considerably from study to study. NO STUDY, however, shows terrorism decreasing during the holy month. In some areas the increase is indisputable: terror attacks in Egypt, for example, typically increase ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. In Israel, it’s an average increase of TWO HUNDRED PERCENT.
Not only are the overall numbers chilling, but the nature of the attacks and intended targets boggles the mind, as well. On May 9, 2021, as reported by Sky News, in the city of Kabul, Afghanistan, Sunni Muslim terrorists bombed a Shiite Muslim GIRLS SCHOOL, killing 55 young ladies and wounding at least 150 others…. A GIRLS SCHOOL… A MUSLIM GIRLS SCHOOL, no less… How could this be, you might ask?… Well, these Muslim girls were THE WRONG KIND OF MUSLIM, you see…. Sunnis consider Shiites to be apostates, and, as such, deserving of death.
Now, when ever such atrocities occur, there are inevitably legions of apologists that step up and claim that the attack had nothing to do with “the religion of peace.” Such deception is becoming increasingly threadbare, however. Increasingly, only liberals and leftists can spout such nonsense with a straight face. But for the few normal people who might still be fooled by the endless repetition of such specious claims, it might be instructive to quote recent legal testimony from an expert on the subject.
On May 5, 2021, in the city of Linz, Austria, a courtroom heard testimony from Ednan Aslan, Muslim cleric and professor of Islamic religious education at the University of Vienna. Aslan was called to testify in the trial of three Viennese Muslims accused of subversive activities. The professor’s testimony was summarized by the Austrian Newspaper, Nachrichten: “The law of God was to be enforced. All those who opposed it were enemies and were to be fought against. Anger was also a characteristic of God. It is wrong to present Islam as a religion of peace. It is an aggressive religion. Military action should be taken against its enemies and fear and terror should be spread among them.” Source:
