One Simple Point: Can Anyone Imagine?
Not long ago a reader (thanks PR) sent me a video of a portion of a television variety show hosted by western movie star, John Wayne. It was recorded in 1970 and featured the participation of just about every star from Hollywood and the music and entertainment realms. Please watch the video before reading further. As the viewer can see, the cast was enormous and the message was heartfelt.
The cast included: Anne Margaret, Lucille Ball, Jack Benny, George Burns, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash, Roy Clark, Bing Crosby, Phyllis Diller, Lorne Green, Bob Hope, Michael Landon, Dean Martin, Gregg Morris, Ricky Nelson, Dan Rowan, Dick Martin, William Shatner, Red Skelton, Tom Smothers, Leslie Uggams, John Wayne, Dennis Weaver, Hall Williams and many others. These were actors, actresses, singers, musicians, comedians and celebrities. The participants were white, black, Native American, men and women.
The one simple points I’d like to make is:
CAN ANYONE IMAGINE SUCH A VIDEO BEING MADE TODAY??? What the HELL has happened to us????
