Snippet 7/19/17: Trump Vs. Putin
Snippet 7/18/17: Trump vs. Putin
Lately it seems that there’s been a bumper crop of news stories that, although important, don’t seem to merit lengthy commentary or full essays. I’ve decided to post short pieces on such stories and call them “Snippets”.
For my first “Snippet”, I must, once again, showcase the absolutely absurd commentary thrown against President Trump by blatantly biased media. The current absurdities involve a certain Mr. Vladimir Putin.
Tonight, BANNER HEADLINES flashed across my iPhone: TRUMP HAD A SECOND UNDISCLOSED MEETING WITH PUTIN. The implication, of course, is that this is somehow nefarious! Really? Private talks between the leaders of the two most powerful (and nuclear) countries on earth is a BAD thing? Really? Wouldn’t the simpleminded copy editors of America’s embarrassing media consider, just for a moment, that in a sphere in which “saving face” and projections of power are of great import, private talks between these two very bold men might be EXACTLY what’s needed? Are the copy editors THAT stupid that this possibility is LOST on them??!! These editors need to start taking those supplements advertised on TV. You know, the kind that can double your mental powers in three weeks. They need to order some soon.
Another Trump/Putin narrative I found pretty much hysterical, was all the “Trump wasn’t tough enough on Putin” stuff that followed their G-20 meeting. And, “How much did Trump press Putin on election interference?”, and the like. Reportedly, Trump DID press Putin, who responded by denying it all. Now whether Putin’s denial was truthful or not, what exactly was Trump supposed to do? Punch him in the NOSE??!! Kick him in the GROIN??!! Get ’em in a HEADLOCK??!! Start to use those NUCLEAR CODES?! Please!
