Christmas Blessings
Dear friends and readers,
As we begin to celebrate the two thousand and sixteenth year of Our Lord, I think it’s worthwhile to reflect, for a moment, that there are actually MANY blessings that we celebrate all at once on Christmas! My list is as follows:
1) The birth of Jesus Christ.
2) The Christian faith.
3) The Catholic Church.
4) Our Judeo-Christian heritage.
5) The spirit of giving.
6) The winter solstice.
7) The winter season.
8) Prosperity.
9) Family.
10) Friendship.
11) Community.
12) Our culture (in music and art).
13) Good will.
14) Peace.
May ALL of these blessings be part of your Christmas this year!
