And Now: The Losers (Part Two)
In my post yesterday (See “And Now: The Losers (Part One)”) I discussed the “Biggest Loser” in the Trump/Clinton contest, Hillary Clinton, of course. But, in addition to the big kahuna, there were many other losers in this election, and THEY are the subject of this essay today.
So, lets enumerate some of them, in no particular order:
1. CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC and ALL of America’s major media. The fact that all of your incredibly biased “reporting” could not fool the electorate is remarkable and gratifying. Your reputation has been tarnished and your credibility has been dramatically diminished.
2. The New York Times. The fact that your extremely biased “reporting” (reporting, that you ADMITTED was biased in order to, as one of your senior editors actually said in PRINT, protect the American people!) could not sway the electorate is also remarkable and gratifying. Your circulation and readership have been in perpetual decline over the past decade. May that positive trend continue.
3. The Democratic Party. In an election in which you were supposed to sweep the presidency, the Senate and the House, you fell, embarrassingly, on your collective faces. And if that weren’t bad enough for you, this election exposed your immoral and underhanded modus operandi, of which, you should be ashamed.
4. Deborah Wasserman Schultz. (DNC Chairperson). At the start of convention, Ms. Wasserman Schultz, you were exposed by Wikileaks to be a biased and conniving Clinton operative. You were then, unceremoniously, relieved of your command. Was your ouster due to your actions? Not at all. It was because you got caught. Good riddance!
5. Donna Brazile. (Wasserman-Schultz’s replacement as head of the DNC). You presided, Ms. Brazile, during the DNC convention, over an organization that was caught sneaking debate questions ahead of time to Hillary Clinton. Caught having paid operatives to incite violence at Trump rallies. And caught having minions working to carry out voter fraud. Ms. Brazile, you should step down from your post, apologize to the American people, and hang your head in shame.
6. Keizer Kahn. (The Muslim immigration lawyer and Gold Star family member who spoke against Trump at the Democratic National Convention). Guess what Mr. Kahn? The American electorate doesn’t care to listen to your sanctimonious and self-serving diatribes. Your fifteen minutes of fame are over. Now it’s back to your failing legal practice.
7. Elizabeth Warren. (The FAR left Massachusetts Senator). Guess what Ms. Warren? The American electorate doesn’t care to listen to your conceited and condescending lectures, and wishes to keep you as far away as possible from our consciousness and our wallets.
8. Paul Ryan. (Republican Speaker of the House). Guess what Mr. Ryan? The self-serving motives of every single one of your moves and pronouncements were obvious for all to see. You better hope that Mr. Trump treats you better than you treated him.
9. Ted Cruz. After signing an agreement to support the winner of the primaries, you didn’t do that, did you, Mr. Cruz? What happened? Did you FORGET about your pledge? Well, as it turns out, America is going to forget about you.
10. James Comey. All of your actions, Mr. Comey, were carried out under a poorly camouflaged umbrella of self preservation. In your dereliction of duty, you, amazingly, managed to enrage EVERYONE! On BOTH sides! As a consequence, your job (and, perhaps, even your freedom) may be in jeopardy.
11. Huma Abedin. You are now, Ms. Abedin, out of a job (and a husband). I guess it will be back to writing for the “Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs” and other PRO SHARIA publications.
12. Bernie Sanders. Poor Mr. Sanders. You were made a fool of by Hillary Clinton, Debra Wasserman Schultz, Donna Brazile and the entire DNC. That’s a lot of “foolery”, Mr. Sanders, isn’t it?
13. Beyoncè, Katy Perry, JayZ, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Barbra Streisand and many others. Guess what guys? The American electorate, finally, has gotten beyond paying attention to the political opinions of ENTERTAINERS. Amen!
(And…not to forget…, we are waiting. Waiting? Yes, waiting! We are waiting for all of you who PROMISED, to move to Canada, New Zealand, or the next convenient parallel dimension in the event of a Trump win, actually do so. And hurry, if you will, please!).
14. The Saudis, Qataris and other foriegn governments that lavished millions of dollars to the Clinton “Foundation” in the expectation of special treatment from the “inevitable president Clinton”. Looks like you’ll get precious little back on your investments, guys. Sorry!
15. ISIS. After five years of patronizing, ignoring and ultimately tolerating this very large group of satanic lunatics, we will now go after them, hopefully with coalition participation, in ernest. As Sylvester Stallone famously said in the movie Rambo: “I’m coming for YOU.”
16. Loretta Lynch. As the most partisan Attorney General ever, I believe, to occupy that post, your brazen disregard for the law regarding your own actions was, in itself, criminal, and, hopefully, will be prosecuted by the next Attorney General.
17. Barack Hussein Obama. As you, Mr. Obama said yourself, this election was a referendum on your “legacy”. And so it was. And the verdict of history, starting NOW, is thumbs down, severely. And it will only get worse with the passage of time. Congratulations.
18. And, last but not least: the “college” of American political surveys and polling. It has become obvious Mr. and Mrs. Pollsters, that your results are not as scientific as you claim them to be, and that, basically, you really DON’T know WHAT you’re doing! Go stand in the corner till recess.
So, ladies and gentlemen, while the list given above is not complete, many of the most flagrant losers are, I believe, represented. Hesitate not, however, dear readers, to add some of your own!
