Don’t Call Them Democrats, And NEVER Call Them Liberals, Part Two
In my last essay I wrote that the modern Democrat Party was no longer Democratic and no longer liberal. The following article, by Allen West, makes the same point (more eloquently than I). He goes further, however, by identifying the cause of this remarkable shift among the Democrats: Marxism.
Colonel West is a former Congressman from Florida as well as a decorated (Bronze Star) Army combat veteran of both the Gulf and Iraq wars. And, before people criticize him of “white supremacy” I should point out that he is black.

Stop Calling Them Democrats
It is time that we understand that there is a political party called Democratic, but that label, other than the jackass symbol, has nothing to do with who they are. It is time we stop calling them Democrats and use references that align with their principles, values (or lack thereof), and political philosophy.
We should also stop calling Democrats liberals; they are not. True classical liberalism is that of its founder, John Locke, and can be found in his Second Treatise of Government, circa 1689. It was Locke whom Thomas Jefferson studied to frame our Declaration of Independence. Locke asserted that it is only natural that individual rights derive from the Judeo-Christian faith heritage of the Creator God—life, liberty, and property. Sadly, we have fallen under the toxic spell of leftists believing that they decide who will live, when you will die, determine your freedoms, and, as Cea Weaver has proclaimed, must redefine the essence of property ownership, which is, after all, a weapon of “white supremacy.”
And if one doesn’t believe me, well, take the words of Obama and Mamdani to heart.

While in Congress, when I asserted that there were some 75-80 communists on Capitol Hill, I was roundly criticized. By that, I was referring to the Congressional Progressive Caucus. If people were astute enough to read and comprehend where the reference “progressive” emanated, they would see that it was a rebranding by the European communists in order to dupe the West, meaning America, into accepting them and their philosophy.
