Cultural Marxism: What You Need To Know, Part Three (The GOOD SATAN)

It’s no secret that many of today’s cultural Marxists are atheists. It may surprise some people, however, to learn that the original Marxists (Marxism “Version 1.0,” if you will ), unlike today’s cultural Marxists, were NOT atheists. In fact they DID believe in God, but, like Marx himself, HATED Him. As such, many early Marxists had a romance with satanism. Many of Marx’s early writings dealt directly with Prince of Darkness.

From Marx’s 1842 poem (bet you didn’t know that Marx wrote poetry), “The Player”:

“The hellish vapors rise and fill the brain/Till I go mad and my heart is utterly changed…. See this sword—the Prince of Darkness sold it to me,” and, “Ever more boldly I play the dance of death.”

And from his poem, “The Pale Maiden”:

“Thus Heaven I’ve forfeited,
I know it full well.
My soul, once true to God,
Is chosen for Hell”

And this misotheistic (God hating) theme is carried right through to modern cultural Marxists like Saul Alinsky, who dedicated his most famous book, “Rules  For Radicals,” to… Lucifer! (no lie! Look it up!).

Now, most modern cultural Marxists, not wanting to be perceived as “nut jobs” downplay this God hatred theme somewhat, preferring, instead to call themselves “atheists.” Make no mistake, however, some of the original animus continues.

At this point, the reader might question why and how such hate toward our Creator could have arisen. The answer is NOT what you might suspect. It’s NOT that Marxists are disillusioned with our Creator’s supposed acquiescence to the existence of social ills such as poverty, sickness and war. No, that’s NOT it. Marxian animosity toward God is that God is impugned to be THE GREAT OPPRESSOR! With His annoying commandments and ethical dictates, He hamstrings men and women at every turn. Satan, you see, has been wrongfully maligned, but is, instead the FIRST REBEL and, therefore, the LIBERATOR OF MANKIND.

Such thinking was advocated by many of the early cultural Marxists: Alistair Crowley, Mikhail Bakunin, Saul Alinsky and many others. Amazingly, there were even actual covens in such posh locales as Manhattan’s upper east side (the setting for the demonic thriller, Rosemary’s Baby, which was a sort of  “narrative roman á clef”).

As a consequence, it became fashionable for intellectuals to think of Lucifer as a “GOOD SATAN.” And, much of this narrative continues to be an undercurrent among intellectual cultural Marxists even to this day, especially at the top end.

So now you know.
