The Kangaroo In The Court
Things are going VERY well for Donald Trump in his business fraud trial in New York City. After reading the recent headlines, the reader might say: “Going Well??? … His defense team has had EVERY objection overruled and EVERY motion denied. How can you claim the trial is going well?” Well, that’s just it! The trial has been SO one sided and SO bizarre that a Trump victory on appeal is now all but certain.
The extreme bias of prosecutor Letitia James boggles the mind. When campaigning for the Attorney General of The State of New York, she actually CAMPAIGNED on the promise to “GET TRUMP!” (Although the position of Attorney General is an elected post, unlike candidates for a purely political office, Attorney Generals are supposed to be nonpartisan!). Throughout the “trial” James has tried to hammer together a case that the Trump organization defrauded investors by overestimating the value of his properties. She has tried to do this DESPITE the fact that:
1: She has identified NO VICTIMS or anyone who was actually harmed by the so-called “fraud.” She has not even identified anyone who lost money!
2: She doesn’t seem to understand that real estate market value is NOT set in stone and will vary considerably depending on many many factors that are not under the property owner’s control, and, often are difficult to predict.
3: She seems unaware that, in the realm of real estate, banks and other lenders do their own research regarding property value and in all instances they would have “signed off” and approved the deal, otherwise NO MONIES would have been lent.
But, as uninformed and egregious as Ms. James is, she pales in comparison to the presiding judge on the case, Arthur Engoron, a lifelong Democrat who participated, by his own admission and in his own words, in “huge, sometimes boisterous, Vietnam War protests.” He’s also been a member of the American Civil Liberties Union since 1994. Now, while none of these things are illegal or even immoral, it’s not hard to see that such an individual might harbor a strong bias against a very successful businessman like Donald Trump.
Be that as it may, I don’t think that I’m going too much out on a limb when I say that the Honorable Judge Arthur Engoron is… A CRAZY COOT!… Not only does the good judge have a strikingly obvious Alzheimer’s countenance (see below):
he has behaved so bizarrely that he’s raised concern even among democrats; he’s been slamming his fist on his desk and having obvious tantrums and/or “meltdowns.” And, aside from his odd behavior, his legal rulings are literally “off the walls.” As hard as it is to believe, he issued a SUMMARY JUDGEMENT OF “GUILTY” on Mr. Trump BEFORE THE TRIAL BEGAN! Yes, you read that right: BEFORE THE TRIAL BEGAN. In a case as complicated as this, the issuance of summary judgement without a trial is, well, CRAZY. As Professor and Harvard alumnus Alan Dershowitz recently put it in an interview on Forbes Newsroom: “I can’t imagine a WORSE judge than this.” You can hear Mr. Dershowitz’s full comments via the following link:
And, if you think that Professor Dershowitz (and I) are being overly harsh on Judge Engoron, I’ll mention the fact that it has come to light that Judge Engoron has recently posted SEMi-NUDE photographs of HIMSELF in the Wheatley Alumni Association Newsletter (of which he is the editor). Don’t believe me? Look at the photograph below taken directly from the newsletter:
The problematic photographs have not gone unnoticed in the media. Jesse Watters of Fox News dedicated a prime time segment on this unusual revelation. And, Watters did not mince words when discussing the judge. Tongue in cheek, Mr. Watters dubbed Judge Engoron “Judge Nudie,” (a play on the famous TV personality “Judge Judy”) and expressed incredulity over the judge’s decision to share such personal images in a public forum.
And if you still think I am being unkind in my criticisms of the good judge, note the fact that Rep. Elise Stefanik, the House GOP conference chair, has filed a formal judicial ethics complaint against Judge Engoron, accusing him of “weaponized lawfare” against the former president, and calling on the judge to recuse himself.
And, the piece de resistance: “Attorney General Letitia James was caught red-handed in a leaked private phone call between her and the judge (all trial communication between litigants and the judge without both parties being present are required to be on the record). James has denied that her voice is on the recording, but independent EXPERTS have CONFIRMED that is is her voice on the audio.” (www.bitchute.com, October 4, 2023).
So, I would like to conclude by mentioning that the term “kangaroo court” is derived from the term “kangaroo judges” originally used during America’s western expansion to denigrate frontier judges who would “hop like kangaroos” from one town to another with little regard for making fair rulings. Ladies and Gentlemen, it should be quite clear that Judge Arthur Engoron IS the kangaroo in this court.
Beautiful Essay… Just another judge on a string. When are people going to start cutting the string ? Soon I hope . Thank you Bob
