Coup d etat , Part 2
The Mueller investigation (2 years and 30 million dollars on) has failed to find any collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. All it did find is that Russia meddled in our election. But we KNEW that already. In fact, we KNEW that the Russians meddle in the electoral processes of many countries, apparently in order to sow seeds of discord in those countries, thereby advancing Russian hegemony by default. No evidence was found, however, that candidate Trump was involved in that meddling in any way. But, because the liberal progressives could muster no other grounds for their dearly hoped for Presidential impeachment, the Mueller Probe ended up becoming their only “hope and prayer“.
So, having come up empty handed, have the Democrats admitted that they were wrong and given up their failed strategy?… No. No, they haven’t. House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) says, get this, that President Trump is a “dictator” and is “a far greater risk to our government and to our freedom than almost ANYTHING ELSE”. (Emphasis mine). ANYTHING else, Mr. Nadler?… ANYTHING???!!… Not Russia? Not China? Not Iran? Not Al-Qaeda?Not even global warming?! All of these adversaries pale, for Mr. Nadler, in comparison to Donald J. Trump?… REALLY??!!… When a man such as Nadler, and numerous co-conspirators, harbor such vitriol, it’s clear that there is NOTHING they won’t do or try to bring down the President.
They continue to demand that the unredacted version of the Mueller report be released in its entirety. Why? If Robert Mueller (armed with a contingent of top flight and highly motivated and highly partisan prosecutors) couldn’t find evidence of collusion, what makes them think that they can? The only conceivable way that they’d be able to best Mueller, that I can think of, is to take Mueller’s tactics to even farther extremes. In the un-redacted report they hope to find additional names and leads to pursue. Now, taking this thread step by step, since Mr. Mueller has recommended no further indictments, we can assume that the names and leads in the report are innocent people (or else Mueller would have recommended their indictments). So what do the Democrats want with them?Undoubtably, they plan to harass them, subpoena them, try to trip them up into giving some type of conflicting testimony (like they did with General Flynn and like they are doing now with writer Roger Stone) for which they can bring criminal charges. Once they have such charges, they will then try to force their victims into accusatory testimony, be it true or false, against Mr. Trump. There are now SEVENTEEN separate such investigations underway. The Democrat’s zeal for the President’s head has become fanatical. They are not interested in policy discussion or debate. In the last analysis, they are not interested, even, in Democracy. They have fever dreams of coup d’etat.
And the beginnings of this putsch occurred even before President Trump was elected. Members of the FBI spoke, in captured emails, of a contingency plan in place in the unlikely event that Trump actually got elected. FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page called this plan an “insurance policy”. What it entailed was establishing grounds for FBI surveillance of Candidate Trump, which would lead to an investigation that, they hoped, would enable impeachment proceedings, or, at the very least, allow enough harassment of the the President to stifle his agenda.
Their plan had at least two parts. First was the infamous Trump Tower meeting with Russian agent Natalie Vishnevskaya. It’s been known since May of 2018 that Vishnevskaya had met with Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS (an “opposition research” firm employed by the Democratic Party) the night before AND the night after the Trump Tower meeting. The implication? The meeting was a setup, of course. A set up by which they hoped to entrap the Trump campaign (Donald Trump, Jr., Jarred Kushner, Paul Manafort) into a crime of some sort.
The second part of the “insurance policy” was the Steele “dossier”. It has been established as far back as two years ago that that the “dossier” had been paid for by the Clinton Campaign through the law firm of Perkins Coie. It has recently come to light that large portions of the “dossier” were actually written by Nellie Ohr (wife of FBI agent Bruce Ohr), working for the same Fusion GPS firm. Once written, it was given to ex-British Intelligence agent Christopher Steele, who then gave it to Russian agents who tried to make the document look official (this, arguably, WAS the only Russian collusion in 2016, and it was, by the Democratic National Committee!). Hard to believe? Au contraire, it has been clearly established that Nellie Ohr met with Steele at Washington DC’s Mayflower Hotel on July 30, 2016, the day BEFORE the FBI investigation of Mr. Trump began. (Source: Jerry Dunleavy, The Washington Examiner, March 28, 2019). The dossier was then “delivered” to the FBI by none other than John McCain. McCain’s enmity toward Mr.Trump is certainly understandable, given Trump’s unflattering characterizations of him, but his involvement in this scheme is nothing less than nefarious. Then the FBI conspirators used the fabricated document to obtain a FISA warrant, thereby authorizing the surveillance of Mr. Trump and his campaign. Now, the FBI claimed it had “other sources” that would corroborate the dossier, but to this day, none have been proffered. And, just to make sure, this masterpiece of deception had enough punch, James Comey, then head of the FBI, began leaking information copiously with the expressed purpose of starting a formal investigation by an independent prosecutor. (Despite the felonious nature of such intelligence leaks, there is no doubt that Comey did so, because he admitted as much in his testimony to Congress. Comey claimed it was for a “good cause”, you see). And so began the Mueller investigation. The attempted coup, thereby went into high gear and continued full force for the ensuing two years. Finally, with the discrediting of the charges of collusion, the major thrust of the coup has been thwarted. Although the battle is not completely over, the mutineers are on the defensive. It’s now time to begin rounding up the perpetrators and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
