Three Lows And A High

I hate to document this, but NEW LOWS have recently been attained by the leftist, liberal, “progressive” Democrats in America’s public square. These lows have been so bad, that, as distasteful as it is, I feel compelled to, at least, mention them.

Not long ago, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), reacting to the senseless murder of innocent college student Mollie Tibbetts by an illegal alien by the name of Cristhian Rivera (while Mollie was jogging, no less), the ever sensitive Ms. Warren said: “I know this is hard” for her family, but they “have to remember” that we need to focus on “real problems and real threats” like illegal aliens who have been separated from their children. The callousness of her statement boggles the mind. A new low, without doubt.

Then there was the appalling use of multiple “eulogies” for John McCain to attack President Trump AT A FUNERAL. A new low, again.

Then, earlier today at the US Capitol building, ostensibly adult protestors devolved into screaming, arm waving juveniles at the start of the Bret Kavanaugh Supreme Court Nomination hearings. Several of the miscreants had to be removed forcibly by bailiffs while howling to the moon. The shouting and the language of those that remained became so offensive that Justice Kavanaugh’s CHILDREN had to be REMOVED from the chamber for their own emotional protection. An even lower low, I think you’ll agree.

But, perhaps as an antidote to the vile behaviors described above, there was one bright note. It has come to light that the FBI has recently recovered Dorothy’s ruby red slippers from the Wizard of Oz. Evidently, they were stolen from the Judy Garland Museum 13 years ago. Normally, you might not think that the recovery of those shoes would get top media billing, but in several venues, it did. Personally, I think the media felt obliged to feature the story, as it showed, unequivocally, that the FBI had accomplished SOMETHING, at last.
