A Banana Republic Of Our Own
Well, it looks like the tiger has caught up to and bitten his own tail. The Russia probe is spinning out of control and seems now to be mostly impugning its own proponents. The deeper the investigations go, the worse the Clinton campaign, the Democrats and the deep state FBI, DOJ and CIA look. And, in this unusual state of affairs, the faster the tiger runs, the more of its own tail he gets to eat.
All of the latest revelations bode poorly for the “collusion” narrative and indicate grievous partisan criminality on the part of the deep state FBI, CIA and the Obama justice department.
Mueller’s indictment of Paul Manafort is collapsing before our eyes as judge T. S. Ellis III has criticized the “unfettered power” that Mueller has taken for granted.
It has also come to light that Mueller goaded Michael Flynn into confessing a crime (lying under oath) that documents show that the agency concluded that Flynn DID NOT COMITT! And, what is more, it has further been established that Mueller kept this information from Flynn during the proceedings. A charge of prosecutorial misconduct looms big on the horizon for Mueller on this one.
And all of this comes on top of the prior revelations that the impetus for the entire “investigation” was a fallacious document (The Steel “Dossier”) that was BOUGHT AND PAID FOR by the CLINTON CAMPAIGN.
But all of this has now been crowned by the new revelation that the FBI sent a spy into the Trump campaign. The “informant” in question is Stefan Halper, a foriegn policy scholar (currently based in England) who had been a GOP consultant to Presidents Reagan and Bush. (It turns out that the FBI prefers the term “informant”, reserving the word “spy” for the CIA, although the meaning of both terms is, of course, identical).
President Trump and Congressman Trey Gowdy have called for a formal investigation. This has yet to commence, but, while waiting for the slow turning of the “wheels of justice” let’s do a “test” prosecution ourselves.
Now, in any criminal prosecution, the investigators must establish three things: opportunity, means and motive. Let’s see how these tests apply here to Mr. Halper.
Because of his credentials as a foriegn policy scholar and because of his history of working for prior GOP ad ministrations, Halper had all the right bonafides to infiltrate the Trump campaign. In other words he had the MEANS.
And, it is known with certainty that Halper met with Trump campaign workers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos, and others, in London during the campaign. In other words he had the OPPORTUNITY.
And then, what about the MOTIVE? Well he’s got that too. Thanks to investigators Jacob Wohl and Lori McCullough, we now know that he was PAID handsomely. Two screen captures show payments from the US Federal Government to Halper for $129,280 (July 27, 2017) and $282,295 (Sept. 22, 2016) for “research” into, get this, “the social sciences and humanities”!). In addition, www.zerohedge.com has uncovered records of payments to Halper beginning in the Obama administration totaling over a million dollars. So, to recap, Halper had the OPPORTUNITY, the MEANS and the MOTIVE.
And, what’s worse, since Halper’s activities were carried out on foriegn soil in England, For this reason, most intelligence experts feel that the FBI would have HAD to have informed the British Secret Service (MI6) and obtained their consent.
So, what we have here is an American Intelligence Agency spying on the opposition party’s election campaign.
A number of Democratic proponents have tried to spin this as “no big deal”. Ex CIA Director John Brennan even said, incredulously, that the spying on Trump was “A GOOD THING”. (By the way, in case the reader has any illusions regarding Brennan’s extreme partisanship and prejudice, on May 17, 2018, Brennan tweeted to President Trump that: “America will TRIUMPH OVER YOU”. (emphasis mine).
Now, to sort out whether the Halper revelations ARE or ARE NOT a “big deal”, perform this thought experiment: reverse the parties. Can you IMAGINE what it would be like now if Hillary won and it came to light that Republicans had placed spies in HER campaign??? The Democrats and media would be GOING CRAZY. A dozen investigations would have been opened. The media would be running stories on it CONTINUOUSLY. Why, it would be worse than Watergate. Does anyone doubt that this would be so?…I thought not. So, what we’ve witnessed with the Halper affair IS, indeed, a BIG DEAL.
This degree of partisan interference into the internal affairs of a political party is unprecedented in all of American political history. It’s what you might expect, perhaps, in a “banana republic” but it HAPPENED HERE in the United States Of America where justice and impartiality were supposed to have been ordained in our Constitution. And, if it were not for the election of Donald Trump, it would be happening even today. It makes the Watergate “plumbers” look like hacks by comparison. In the hands of the Obama deep state, it appears that America has become nothing more than a banana republic.
