Absurdities Daily
In addition to the multiple probes into “Russian interference” (which have got to be among the most absurd political inquiries in history) we are assaulted every day by absurdities of the highest order.
Today the unfunny comedienne Kathy Griffin “apologized” for her disgusting video during which she displayed a model of the decapitated head of our President, complete with blood all over it. An apology is, indeed, in order, Ms. Griffin. But that’s not what you did.
Your so-called “apology” came only because your grotesque skit got you fired. Amazingly, during your sobbing “apology”, you spend most of your time blaming…Donald Trump! Hard to believe but your exact words were “HE broke me…HE broke me!” Some apology, Ms. Griffin. Some apology.
Another sublime absurdity is the twitter storm following Mr. Trump’s singing along with the National Anthem at the Memorial Day ceremonies at Arlington. Singing along with the National Anthem is WRONG??? Our Anthem was CREATED to be sung patriotically, as with most National Anthems across the world. British citizens, for example, are REQUIRED to sing along (if they’re able) to the British National Anthem. In America, June 4th is NATIONAL ANTHEM SING ALONG DAY. The director of the National Association of Music Educators, Elizabeth Lasko: “Our position has always been that people should sing it.” In 2008 even Mr. Barack Obama concurred that: “You sing it.”
Despite all of the above, the LLPD (leftist liberal progressive democrats) feigned outrage. I say “feigned” because this group had no criticism to offer to Colin Kapernick when he clearly disrespected our flag and anthem by kneeling while it was played. None-the-less, “outraged” they were!
Holly O’Reilly tweeted these words of wisdom, addressing, apparently, Mr. Trump:
“What is WRONG with you?”
“Seriously?”
“At Arlington?”
Then, to Ivanka Trump:
“You need to reign in your dad.”
And from Leslie @ Peckerman, more words of wisdom:
“Trump is such a (sic) attention seeker always trying to “one-up every one.”
And from Progressive1@ auldphart:
“Trump singing the wrong words and out of tune.”
That’s pretty amazing that Mr. Auldphart could critique Mr. Trump’s singing, as the microphone was not ON Mr. Trump, and NO ONE could hear his singing!
Absurdity sublime. Please forward an pass it on. We have to expose what’s really going on in our nation, because, not only is it not pretty, it’s dangerous.
