Vindicated By Hillary!
Dear readers and friends,
A couple of weeks ago I posted an essay theorizing that Hillary Clinton was so frantic to become president partially because it would provide her the best defense against prosecution for the numerous crimes that she’s committed. (See: Demonstrably Guilty, 12/27/16). Some readers felt this theory was a bit far fetched, and I could certainly see their point. Could it BE that she would actually be prosecuted? Could it BE that she’s actually afraid of that possibility? A bit hard to swallow, I’ll admit.
However, a couple of days ago a vindication of this hypothesis came from none other than Hillary herself! That’s right: from the horse’s mouth, if you will.
An email from an NBC production crew executive originating from a Comcast address, discussed in my recent post (see: Soul Searching, 1/11/17), describes a Clinton “meltdown” following a stressful interview with Matt Lauer on September 7, 2016. The author of that email quoted much of Mrs. Clinton’s diatribe verbatim. At one point Mrs. Clinton screeched the following statement regarding Donald Trump: “If that f****ing bastard wins, we all HANG FROM NOOSES!” (emphasis mine).
So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Vindication from Hillary Clinton herself. Notice, that she didn’t say that if Trump won they’d be scrutinized. She didn’t say they’d be investigated. She didn’t say they’d be criticized. Her words were, instead, that they’d be HANGED! It really IS true that stress can bring out a person’s true feelings that they might successfully hide under normal circumstances. And her true feelings are simply that she’s scared. Scared of investigation. Scared of indictment . Scared of prosecution. And scared of imprisonment. Why is she so scared? Because she is in real jeopardy for a number of serious infractions (listed in my previous post). One thing Hillary Clinton is NOT, is stupid. She KNOWS the predicament she’s in. And so do the ranking Democrats, who are in damage control mode at present. And, as a consequence, her defenders stridently sought and recently obtained a crucial concession from Jeff Sessions during his confirmation hearing for Attorney General. During that hearing he promised to recuse himself from any proceedings that might be brought against Hillary Clinton. He made that promise to avoid a filibuster aimed at blocking his appointment. So that takes care of the DOJ, and that was a big victory for her. However, that does not solve all of her problems. A special prosecutor could still be appointed, and legal action from a special prosecutor remains a threat. A major effort will soon be made by the Democrats, I suspect, to keep this from happening. This major effort will be, of course, behind closed doors, and, I believe, that if a special prosecutor is NOT appointed, it will only be because of secret concessions made by the Democrats (regarding appointments to the Supreme Court, perhaps). We may never know what those concessions were, but if Hillary is NOT prosecuted you can rest assured that they were made.
So the political process grinds on, and Mrs. Clinton remains quite nervous. And, my instincts regarding her behavior and motives may have been a bit vindicated.
