Dog And Pony Show

It should be apparent to all but the deeply comatose, that the current liberal outrage over Russian hacking is a poorly concealed attempt to:

1. Delegitimize the Trump Victory.
2. Scapegoat the Russians as the cause of their defeat.
3. Distract the public from the egregious activities of the Democratic Party that the hacking uncovered. (Feeding debate questions ahead of time to Hillary, paying demonstrators to disrupt Trump rallies, planning to bus people for fraudulent voting, etc., etc., etc.)
4. Distract the public from the dangerous lapses of security by the DNC, John Podesta, Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedin and many others.

Given these nefarious motives, one might be excused if one were to be a tad skeptical of the current Russian hacking “dog and pony show”. As such, it is probably wise to keep a few things in mind:

1. The mastermind that actually posted the hacked emails, Julian Assange, has stated, unequivocally, that the source of the hacked emails was NOT the Russians. (There are rumors that it was a “disgruntled” DNC executive). Now, Mr. Assange, while lionized by some and demonized by others, has, none-the-less been extraordinarily thorough, meticulous and accurate in ALL of his posts and communications. Some might say that he is accurate to the point of obsession. NO ONE has been able to falsify any of the material he has presented. His comments regarding his sources should not be disparaged lightly, therefore.
2. The DNC and the Obama administration were aware of the hacking that had been going on, but kept COMPLETELY SILENT about it for months and months, until it became clear that the information uncovered would hurt Clinton more than Trump.
3. The CIA would have us believe that their intelligence gathering prowess is second to none, but their track record is, at best, lack luster (see my previous post, “Keystone Cops”, posted 12/13/16).

So, with all of this in mind, were the Russians involved in hacking the DNC? In my opinion, possibly. Have American hackers carried out similar hacks on Russian political activities ? Most certainly. Are we carrying out similar hacks on Russian political activity at this very moment? Quite likely. How, indignant, therefore, should we be? Did the Russians “high jack” our election? Not a chance. Is expelling ambassadors likely to bring a halt to foriegn hacking? Hardly. Should the DNC and it’s operatives actually DO SOMETHING to increase their cyber security? Duh! Should they continue a dog and pony show that accomplishes absolutely nothing constructive? Again, the answer is, Duh!
