Can’t Shake It
>I just can’t shake it….I just can’t talk myself out of it! Even with the vice presidential debate coming up this evening, there’s something I just can’t ignore about Democrat Vice Presidential Candidate, Tim Kaine. And it’s rather surprising that I can’t shake it, because, “on paper”, it shouldn’t be so. What I’m referring to is the creeping suspicion I have that Mr. Kaine is, well, for lack of a better word, a bit dimwitted! Now, this suspicion would seem, on the surface, to be less than tenable. I mean, there’s the law degree from Harvard, a winning political track record and a tap on the shoulder from none other than Hillary Clinton for the vice presidency of our great nation (although, admittedly, Joe Biden has lowered the bar substantially on that one)…..still….there’s that nagging suspicion. And I can’t shake it! Maybe, it’s his slack jawed countenance that lowers his perceived I.Q. Or maybe it’s his child like facial expressions. The constant look of surprise. Or, on the other hand, maybe it’s the stupid things he says. Wanting, for example, to give BLANKET amnesty to ALL illegals in the United States during his first hundred days! Or urging “respect” for that ungrateful whiner Colin Kaepernick. Or him saying that America has to put a leader in the Senate who is, in his own words, “worthy of sacrifice.” What? Or, in his 2005 campaign, insisting that he was “not for further gun control” while in fact advocating for further gun control. Or maybe it was getting an entire CNN news panel on September 4th to break into spontaneous laughter over the rationale he used to defend Hillary’s lack of press conferences: “I don’t see a difference between a press conference and talking to the press.” There was much mirth in the CNN news room on that one. Or maybe it’s the fact that terms like “boring” and “forgettable” are the best adjectives you can find on him! What ever it is, however, there IS that nagging suspicion. And, as I said above, I just can’t shake it!
